Pedestrian Bridge – Shire of Murray

IMEC recently completed the design & installation supervision of a pedestrian bridge in the Shire of Murray, South of Perth.

Working closely with the client, the Shire of Murray & the main contractor Murray Engineering, IMEC’s structural & civil design team brought their engineering experience to a civic project for the first time.

Engaging local consultants and trades on all facets of the project gave the bridge a real grounding in the local community.

Routine inspections during fabrication of steelwork and civil installation formed part of IMEC’s QMS responsibilities.

The bridge’s modular design facilitated straightforward transport and gives the added bonus of easy relocation should it be required.

“It was a pleasure working with all stakeholders on this project & the positive community response really drives home the projects success,” Edward Sutoro, Lead Structural Engineer.
